Never wear a mask or a helmet or even try and conceal your face when using the atm machine. If you find some one is doing this he or she might actually be trying something funny. Alert the ATM attendant or the bank staff immediately when this happens. Secondly never allow someone to act the good Samaritan when you are trying to use the ATM. He could actually be after your ATM pin number! Always use an ATM that is located at a crowded place. Never count the cash inside or immediately outside the ATM. Go to a crowded and or a safer place to do so. You should never withdraw cash in a location in a neighborhood which you are not familiar with or know to be problematic. Always insist on using the ATM with the keypad hidden with your body. Stand close to the keypad narrowing the angle of viewing so that anybody who is trying catch a glimpse from a distance will not find it easy to understand what you are entering.
